FRANNY BOOKS

In 2019 I ventured into a bookmaking class like no other taught by artists, Francine Haskins. 

I found myself instantly addicted!  The goal was to create a series of 52 books (1/week) but I quickly found out that the books were too intricate and organic to be finished in that time span.

Nonetheless they have provided a vital outlet for my storytelling, soft sculpture, mixed media, and poetic work.

I use them to amplify the words that I find important whether they are proverbs, quotes, or poems.

The very nature of the books makes them one of a kind fine art pieces.  Like so much of my work, I hope they can bring positive inspiration to the collector/viewer/audience.
